Our Melbourne office was an opportunity to practice what we preach. A spatially flexibile open plan not only invites all team members to join in and participate, but also our clients.
The base building envelope was stripped back to reveal its history, all brick walls were left exposed, original timber trusses were restored, new acoustic ripple sound ceilings installed, and a recycled timber floor was laid throughout.
With a strong focus on communal zones for brainstorming, design discussions and most importantly good coffee and good food, a sharp contemporary colour and materials palette was selected in contrast to the original internal features.
