IAG - Think Tank

Engaged directly by IAG, V-Arc were very excited by the opportunity to design a new collaborative space at IAG's headquarters in George Street Sydney.

Our brief was to create a new space within the office environment, to stimulate creativity and collaboration, a place where colleagues could meet to brainstorm new ideas. In the client's words "it would be kitted out to stimulate creative thinking, it could be used as a meeting room or breakout - something fun and interactive - somewhere we can get away."

Upon entering, the occupant is encouraged to lounge and relax. The furniture is loose, soft and puzzle-like to reflect our initial ideas when brainstorming. As you progress through the space, it becomes more real and pragmatic; a place were participants are invited to collaborate at a bar height table to allow for more idea sharing and refinement.

Notes or ideas can be written up onto a magnetic wall. Laptop connectivity feeds input to a large flat screen TV. The space is equipped with technology to allow Power point presentations or casual afternoon sessions of movie trivia on the X-Box. It can accommodate up to 15-20 people comfortably standing and opens out into the office environment via a large sliding door for a more integrated approach.
