Sunshine Coast Super Clinic
Located on the newly developed Kawana Waters Town Centre, a commuting distance from Brisbane, this 2000sqm super clinic is designed to accommodate a variety of healthcare services including pathology, radiology and independent consulting suites and meeting rooms.
A re-imagined, state of the art waiting lobby at the heart of the design creates a ‘Retail Hub’, which serves the various tenants and activities within the super clinic. Patients can privately check-in at the electronic touch screen stands and enjoy a coffee or browse the pharmacy whilst awaiting their patient call on various monitors. Orientating active spaces to the street means the super clinic engages with the public and appears inviting, not clinical or intimidating. Rooms and spaces are designed to achieve natural daylight and ventilation whilst maintain privacy for patients. The overall spatial planning accommodates the varied opening hours associated with the clinic.
Physical and mental wellbeing of staff is also considered providing indoor and outdoor spaces for socialising and relaxing. Pleasant outdoor environments and amenities are afforded at the street level for patients and general public alike.
